The film, itself, is dark & scary. And one of the best elements is that Nolan & Goyer has actually made Bruce Wayne/Batman human. He is a mere mortal trying to fight his fears and demons and he fights it with his Bat persona. And the way Batman walks and moves is what I have always envisioned him doing. NOt like in Burton's flicks, where Batman was stiff and slow. Batman is all about being sly, quick, and scaring his foes. This film is definitely worth the price of admission. All Batman fans rejoice! This is the real deal! One very minor weakness of the film is Katie Holmes. The romance between her and Bruce Wayne seemed forced. But it was very minor. All in all, it rocked! I saw it 5 days after it came out, and the audience I saw it with gave a very loud ovation when the credits began to roll. Tell everyone you know that this film rocks. I think that there are people out there who were extremely disappointed with the forgettable Batman & Robin, that they may not give this film a chance because of that. Those people are missing out. I can't wait for the next one. Batman Continues.
